Sleeveless Silk Shirt Dress

If there is one fabric that I think conjures opulence and regalness, whether used in interior design or in apparel, it’s silk. To me, it makes total sense that for centuries royalties have used the fabric to adorn themselves and their dwellings. I share that affinity for silk. I enjoy mixing it with other natural fabric such as linen and cotton or using it alone. As such, I am always on the lookout for silk pieces while thrifting.

As soon as I spotted this burnt orange shirt dress one lucky day, I dropped it into the shopping cart. It was among several pretty things I thrifted on that particular day but it stood out the most. It’s effortlessly elegant, timeless, comfortable and the colour is so unique and flattering on me. I can see myself wearing it on a variety of occasions from cocktail parties to weddings.
