Gorilla, My love by Toni Cade Bambara

It’s been a while since I read a short story collection and even longer since I read one that I liked. To be frank, they don’t entice me as much novels. Maybe it’s because as soon as I start getting into one of the stories, the books move on to another. Ever so often though, a short story collection comes along that I enjoy. For that reason, I haven’t given up reading them.

For my new Papyr.us Bookclub read, I’m reaching for one more - Gorilla, My Love. The book published in 1972 was written by the late Toni Cade Bambara. She was one of the authors whose writing I first learned about while at Spelman College. I’m eager to reacquaint myself with her work.
