White Cropped Jacket & Yellow Pants

If you saw the IG Stories of my most thrifting trip a few days ago, you might remember these mustard coloured pants. Unfortunately, the other yellow pair that I found ended up not fitting. This pair though, fit like a glove. As soon as I tried it on at home, I knew that I would be wearing a loose fitting top with it. (It’s rare that I wear tight pants with a tight top). I think that this cropped white jacket is an ideal mate. I like how its conservative look elevates the pants in a subtle way. Also, the jacket’s white colour adds a Summer suitable lightness to the mustard yellow pants, which would look totally different with another autumn-y colour. To complete the cool, light effect I was going for, I added a pair of silver heels and a bamboo bag. I resisted the temptation to wear brass jewelry with the outfit - we know how much of a weakness I have for brass. This time I opted for white beaded earrings and white bangles with geometric patterns. Granted, they have a touch of brass but I consider the fact that I followed through with wearing them progress. Lol. There is so much jewelry in my stash that I neglect wearing and I’m determined to change this. So you might be seeing a wider assortment of jewelry in my outfit posts going forward. This was a good place to start.
